Gary Barber, a 23-year information technology industry veteran, has been appointed vice president and chief technology officer for the Department of Homeland Security portfolio at LMI, according to a LinkedIn post published Monday.
Barber most recently served as CTO for the DHS business unit at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) where he helped capture growth opportunities across the homeland security, defense and intelligence sectors.
Before joining SAIC, Barber was an executive architect at Unisys and chief enterprise architect for the technology solutions division at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH).
His industry career also includes time as a technical project manager and solutions architect at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and a senior software developer at Accenture (NYSE: ACN).
