Garry Schwartz Promoted to Huntington Ingalls MDIS Group President; Andy Green Quoted

Garry Schwartz, formerly vice president and general manager of the training, cyber and engineering business at Huntington Ingalls Industries‘ (NYSE: HII) mission driven innovative solutions group, has been promoted to president of the MDIS business.

He will work at the company’s Fairfax, Va. office and will oversee the MDIS’ culture, growth and performance in his new position, said Thursday.

Schwartz previously held leadership roles at Alion Science and Technology and Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC), where he led domestic and overseas programs for multiple customers.

Before joining the private sector, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from military service in 2004 with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
