She will draw from her nearly four decades of combined government and industry experience to provide the team with insight to support public sector organizations focused on national security, SandboxAQ said Friday.
Shea most recently served as VP of cyber offense and defense experts at the intelligence and space business of Raytheon, where she led the delivery of cybersecurity capabilities to government and commercial customers.
Prior to joining the defense contractor, she was executive VP of technology at venture capital firm In-Q-Tel.
Shea also spent more than three decades at the National Security Agency and held roles of increasing responsibility, including as director of signals intelligence.
Commenting on the appointment, SandboxAQ Global Public Sector President Jen Sovada said, “Will benefit from [Shea’s] expertise, particularly in the areas of quantum-resistant cryptography and cybersecurity to safeguard sensitive national security data.”
SandboxAQ is sponsoring ExecutiveBiz Events’ 2023 Quantum Technologies Forum on April 5. The virtual event will bring together quantum thought leaders and government and industry officials, including the SaaS company’s Lloyd Dabbs, to provide quantum-related insight.
