William Mintz, former vice president of strategy at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) and a more than 25-year industry professional, has joined Cerner (Nasdaq: CERN) as its new chief strategy officer.
Cerner said Wednesday that Mintz will manage the development of the company’s corporate strategy as well as the identification of business opportunities in his new role.
Before joining Leidos in July 2019, Minzt held leadership positions at Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
He also cofounded Care3, Los Angeles-based healthcare technology company, in 2015.
Brent Shafer, chairman and CEO of Cerner, said Mintz brings to his new role a strong track record leading business development, corporate strategy and digital transformation activities in the healthcare sector.
Mintz began his career in 1995 as a senior health insurance representative at NCO Financial Services.
