Lynne Doughtie, former chairman and CEO of KPMG’s U.S. operations, has been named to Boeing’s (NYSE: BA) board of directors as part of its audit and finance committees.
She will fill the seat vacated by Caroline Kennedy, who has served on Boeing’s board over the past three years, the aerospace and defense company said Friday.
Doughtie stepped down from her leadership positions at KMPG in 2020 after five years at the helm. She started her career at the professional services firm’s audit practice in 1985 and later elevated to lead partner for multiple strategic clients and vice chair of its U.S. advisory business.
“She will provide perspective reflecting her global leadership roles and experience advising clients on complex matters as well as significant risk management expertise,” said David Calhoun, president and CEO of Boeing.
Doughtie has been featured on Glassdoor’s top CEOs list and recognized as a “powerful woman” by Fortune and Crain’s New York Business and among the top 100 influential people complied by Accounting Today and the National Association of Corporate Directors.
