Barbie Bigelow
Barbie Bigelow, formerly senior vice president and chief information officer of Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC), has been appointed CIO at engineering, construction and consulting services contractor Black & Veatch.
She will oversee Black & Veatch’s digital strategy and information technology group that offers tools and technology platforms needed to build infrastructure systems, the company said Wednesday.
Her more than three-decade career has included time as CIO at TASC and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT). She also worked at IBM (NYSE: IBM) for nine years.
Bigelow serves on George Mason University’s Industrial Advisory Council for Computer Science, University of Tennessee College of Engineering’s board of advisers and Moxie Rocket’s executive advisory board.
She established two companies with the intent to help clients implement strategic efforts, evaluate cyber risks and manage business performance using technology.
