Scott Davidson, former chief operating officer of data software provider Hortonworks, has joined data science and analytics firm Alteryx as COO.
The two-decade industry veteran will lead efforts to build out Alteryx’s global infrastructure designed to support information technology, human resources, enterprise applications and corporate development functions in his new capacity, the company said Tuesday.
Previously, he supported the process of transforming Hortonworks to a public company in late 2014 and its merger with Cloudera (NYSE: CLDR) early this year.
He held an 11-year career at Quest Software in CFO, vice president and treasurer positions, and spent four years at Citrix Systems as director of corporate treasury and investor relations.
Alteryx is headquartered in Irvine, Calif., and offers an analytics platform designed to help customers turn data into actionable insights.
