Hashmi is a former commissioner within the General Services Administration’s Federal Acquisition Service, where he formulated a roadmap for cloud computing and performance measurement and led information technology cloud modernization efforts, Unqork said Wednesday.
In his new role, Hashmi will work to facilitate public sector adoption of the Unqork platform, which the new head of public sector said is “well poised to drastically improve the way that we build and interact with mission-critical applications.”
For his part, Unqork founder and CEO Gary Hoberman underscored the company’s commitment to hiring personnel with an understanding of customer needs and described Hashmi as “a perfect example of a leader that has our customers’ best interests in mind.”
Hoberman added, “[Hashmi has] a unique understanding of the full value that codeless architecture can unlock for public sector organizations in their digital transformation journeys.”
Hashmi’s appointment comes on the heels of what Unqork described as “a milestone year” during which the company’s codeless platform received FedRAMP authorization and its customer base saw a 33 percent expansion across multiple regions.
