Curtis Puckett, a three-decade defense and federal contracting sector veteran, has been named president of Red River‘s business that provides technology services to the government.
He will be responsible for managing and driving strategic growth for Red Rivers’ government program portfolio, which includes mission-critical IT services, the company said Tuesday.
Most recently, Puckett was vice president and general manager of the defense segment at General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) information technology business.
His other previous industry experience includes operations leadership at NCI Information Systems and program management at NetCentrics.
The University of Texas graduate started his IT career at the U.S. Air Force and served as cyber division chief at the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Joint Interoperability Test Command before joining the private sector in 2014.
While in the government, Puckett was assigned as IT director of communications at the Air Force’sCombined Air and Space Operations Center in Al Udeid, Qatar. His duties involved transitioning the operations of U.S. Central Command’s Air Forces Central into a long-term facility.
