Charles Hooper, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant general and former director of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, has joined the board of directors at General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).
“Hooper’s wealth of experience will help us continue to meet our customers’ needs, both in the U.S. and with our U.S. allies,” Phebe Novakovic, CEO of General Dynamics and a nine-time Wash100 awardee, said in a statement released Wednesday.
Hooper is a senior counselor at The Cohen Group, responsible for providing strategic advice and active assistance in regulatory affairs, business development and capital-raising activities.
He also serves as a board member at UL Solutions, Apache Corporation and Two Six Technologies, and is affiliated with the Atlantic Council, the National Bureau of Asian Research and the Council on Foreign Relations.
The 41-year Army veteran was featured in Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 list for 2018.
