William Bender, formerly chief information officer of the U.S. Air Force, has joined Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) as senior vice president for strategic accounts and government relations.
The retired Air Force lieutenant general will aim to help strengthen Leidos’ customer relationships and drive organic growth strategies in his new position, the company said Tuesday.

“William is an accomplished and highly respected military leader with extensive expertise in information technology, cybersecurity and government services,” said Gerry Fasano, an executive vice president and chief of business development and strategy at Leidos.
Fasano added that Bender’s professional experience can help the company to understand and support core missions of customers.
