The contract includes an option period and covers a range of construction, repair and renovation work at installations across Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Awardees will compete for task orders to build and refurbish facilities such as administration offices, gymnasiums, armories, hangars, child care centers, hospitals, warehouses and fire stations as part of the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award.
NAVFAC Southwest received 16 bids for the contract through a competitive online solicitation process and will obligate $25K in fiscal 2020 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
The service branch will also issue $5K to each contractor to cover the minimum guarantee and obligate Navy military construction and working capital funds as well as Navy and Marine Corps O&M funds for subsequent task orders.
Ninety percent of contract work will take place in California and 10 percent in the remaining locations within the Southwest AOR through September 2025.
