The U.S. Navy has picked five companies to help the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division update ship hull, mechanical and electrical systems under a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
NSWCPD received nine offers for the project with a five-year ordering period that runs through September 2023, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
The service branch will obligate $4.8M in fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds along with $1.4M in fiscal 2017 shipbuilding and conversion funds at the time of award.
Work will take place at various Navy bases, shipyards, repair stations and contractor facilities located within and outside the continental U.S.

AMSEC will compete for task orders worth up to $337.9M
Delphinus Engineering will compete for task orders worth up to $356.7M
Epsilon Systems Solutions will compete for task orders worth up to $385.9M
General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) will compete for task orders worth up to $367.2M
Q.E.D. Systems will compete for task orders worth up to $360.5M
