North Dakota-based construction company Fisher Sand and Gravel has received a contract worth more than $1.2B from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to build "border barrier infrastructure,” CNN reported Tuesday.
A spokesperson for USACE confirmed the contract award, which occurred on May 6, to the publication.
The new contract comes as the inspector general’s office at the Department of Defense continues to review a $400M border wall construction contract awarded to the company in December in response to a congressional request.
