Firestorm Labs has secured a $100 million Small Business Innovation Research Phase III contract from the U.S. Air Force for small unmanned aerial systems, research and development and support services.
The Department of Defense said Wednesday that under the decentralized indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the San Diego, California-based UAS company will integrate Firestorm into AFWERX Prime Proving Ground and support Adaptive Air Enterprise, Babbage Flock, and Hale Cluster projects through R&D efforts.
The IDIQ, which was a sole source acquisition under the SBIR Phase III program, also provides for services in support of robotic and autonomy platform for interoperable devices.
