The Federal Communications Commission has issued a solicitation for a potential five-year, $204M contract for program management and software development support services, Bloomberg Government reported Tuesday.
The FCC plans to use the Application Development Support Services contract to move systems to the cloud, update existing information technology services and develop new services on modernized platforms.
The commission will require contractors to use Agile software development processes as they work on new application programming interfaces and enterprise architecture. The contract will also cover business process reengineering, data backup and cybersecurity support.
The agency wants at least 35 percent of total contract obligations to flow down to small businesses.
Responses to the request for proposals are due Aug. 14.
