Excella has secured a position on a potential 10-year, $112 million blanket purchase agreement to offer services for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to modernize the agency’s information environment and improve its ability to use external and internal data assets.
The company said Thursday the first two call orders under the Data Support Services BPA cover data products, data engineering and governance support.
Under the BPA, Excella plans to apply its experience in cloud-based systems development to enable FERC to advance data governance, analytics and data access to accelerate the decision-making process and adopt Agile practices to facilitate the management of increasing data workloads while complying with federal security standards.
Jimmy Benani, vice president of federal health and civilian markets at Excella, noted the award marks the company’s first work with the commission.
“The DSS BPA represents an exciting opportunity to use the expertise housed in our three primary offerings—AI and analytics, modern software delivery and organizational transformation—to modernize the data capabilities of the Commission and build data products that will enable internal and external users to make data driven decisions,” said Jimmy Benani, vice president of federal health and civilian markets at Excella.
