EPA Awards 3 Spots on $350M Tri-State Lead Multiple Award Task Order Contract

The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded three companies positions on the potential five-year, $350 million Tri-State Lead (Pb) Multiple Award Task Order Contract to provide environmental support services for EPA Region 7.

According to award notices published Wednesday on SAM.gov, the awardees are Amers Services, Ayuda Cape JV and Environmental Quality Management.

According to the Federal Procurement Data System-Next Generation, EPA received 10 offers for the MATOC. The ordering period is expected to run through Aug. 19, 2030.

Tri-State Lead (Pb) MATOC Scope 

According to the performance work statement, the contract will support work assigned by EPA Region 7, primarily within and related to Superfund sites in the Tri-State Mining District geographical area and smelter sites in the states of Kansas and Missouri.

The contractors will perform environmental removal action and remedial action services at Superfund sites impacted by lead and other heavy metals from historic mining and smeltering activities in accordance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act.

Remedial activities may include excavation, transportation and disposal of hazardous substances; mine waste remediation and property restoration; water line installations/service connections hookups; and residential water filter/treatment system installation and maintenance.

The work areas under the contract are classified into four functional areas or tasks: general requirements; field work and analytical support; removal action or remedial action implementation; and EPA-lead remedy operation.
