In his new role, Kahn will oversee all product lines across the company. Prior to his promotion, the executive spent more than three years at SentinelOne, serving as vice president of product management for cloud security, artificial intelligence, endpoint/identity, SIEM and services.
Ely Kahn’s Pre-SentinelOne Career
Before joining SentinelOne, Kahn was a principal product manager at Amazon Web Services, where he oversaw the development of AWS Security Hub. He co-founded Sqrrl, a threat hunting company acquired by AWS and rebranded as Amazon Detective.
Kahn also served in various government leadership roles, including director of cybersecurity at the National Security Council, deputy chief of staff of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and director of risk management and strategic innovation at the Transportation Security Administration.
He began his career as an associate and senior consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, advising federal agencies on organizational effectiveness issues.
Kahn is an active seed investor in a wide array of cybersecurity startups, including Aryon Security, Nullify, Lasso, Strivacity, ArmorCode, FireTail.ai, BalkanID, Augur Security, boostsecurity.io, Prelude and Shift5. Several of his investments have led to successful acquisitions, such as Opus Security by Orca Security, Resourcely by Anysphere, Kivera by Cloudflare and Bridgecrew by Palo Alto Networks.
