Edgewater Acquires HPC Firm RedLine Performance Solutions

Edgewater Federal Solutions has acquired RedLine Performance Solutions to add high-performance computing, or HPC, and scientific computing expertise to its federal mission technology portfolio.

Edgewater said Monday the deal pairs its enterprise modernization and mission technology work with RedLine’s background in building and deploying HPC systems in support of federal tech requirements and critical infrastructure.

What Will the Edgewater-RedLine Combination Offer Agencies?

The combined company will support federal customers across enterprise modernization, cloud, cybersecurity, software engineering, scientific computing and HPC, allowing agencies to work with one provider on complex mission needs.

Edgewater said the expanded organization will help agencies update enterprise applications, cloud environments and mission systems, advance their use of AI and HPC, protect critical infrastructure and mission operations, and build and optimize HPC environments.

RedLine Performance Solutions specializes in HPC, advanced cloud computing and scientific programming, with work spanning research and engineering programs.

Edgewater CEO Tom Ferrando described the acquisition as a transformational step that strengthens the company’s ability to help customers as AI, data center modernization, cloud, cybersecurity, software engineering and HPC converge.

Carolyn Pasti, CEO of RedLine Performance Solutions, said joining Edgewater gives the company the resources to offer complete solutions built on its long track record in HPC and scientific computing.

What Is Edgewater Federal Solutions?

Edgewater Federal Solutions is a Frederick, Maryland-based mission technology company that provides enterprise IT, software engineering, AI, cybersecurity, cloud modernization, data center and HPC services to defense, law enforcement, energy, health and civilian agencies. The company maintains Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2, ISO and Capability Maturity Model Integration certifications.

The RedLine acquisition follows a series of recent milestones for Edgewater. In June, the company’s EdgeScanAI records digitization offering achieved Awardable status on the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace.

In July, Edgewater secured a five-year contract to provide IT managed services for the Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory.
