In the last two weeks, DynCorp International (DI) has been awarded both Aviation Field Maintenance Contracts for the U.S. Army, one in the East Region and one in the West Region. The combined value of the contracts is approximately $3.5 billion. The two contracts replace a number of Army Aviation maintenance vehicles.

Under the Aviation Field Maintenance contracts (AFM II East and AFM II West), DI will provide Aviation Field Maintenance (AFM) and Sustainment Level Maintenance for the AFM Directorate (AFMD). The work involves program management, aircraft and ground support equipment maintenance, as well as aircraft modifications and other logistical support.
The AFM II East contract has a one year base with seven option years, and a total contract ceiling of $2.447 billion. The AFM II West contract has a one year base with seven option years, and a total contract ceiling of $1.1 billion.
