Dominion Privatization Texas has won a potential 50-year, $740.2 million contract from the Defense Logistics Agency to own, operate and maintain electric and natural gas distribution systems at the Fort Hood military base in Texas.
Eight proposals were submitted to DLA for the fixed-price, economic-price-adjustment contract through a competitive solicitation, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
DoD added the company will perform work for the U.S. Army through June 30, 2067.
DLA’s energy unit at Fort Belvoir in Virginia is the contracting activity and the agency will use the Army’s operations and maintenance funds in fiscal year 2016 through fiscal 2067 to finance the procurement.
