“So in the simplest terms, what the JADC2 strategy does is it does bring order to our efforts in the command and control arena to sense, make sense, and act all at the speed of relevance,” Crall, a 2021 Wash100 Award recipient, said Friday at a press briefing.
Crall mentioned some of the key elements of JADC2, including the push for data-centricity and adoption of identity, credentials and access management platforms.
He noted that JADC2 relies on an enterprise cloud-based computing system, a zero trust environment, software development, platforms that function on the tactical edge and network enhancements, according to a report by DOD News.
Crall said the services plan to implement open source platforms for JADC2. He also highlighted the importance of integrating allies and partners in advancing the concept.
