The Department of Defense has released a request for information to assess industry capabilities to help inform the acquisition strategy for the follow-on Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract, or IAC MAC, which is designed to support the evolving needs of the DOD scientific and technology ecosystem.
According to an April 9 sources sought notice published on SAM.gov, the U.S. Air Force’s 774th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron, or ESS, will accept responses to the RFI through April 24.
What Is IAC MAC?
IAC MAC is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract that provides a wide range of mission-critical research and development support services for military branches, combatant commands, laboratories and agencies across the DOD.
The contract vehicle encompasses 22 technical focus areas. These include cybersecurity; software data and analysis; autonomous systems; biometrics; homeland security and defense; weapons systems; modeling and simulation; and advanced materials.
In June 2023, the Pentagon announced a $20 billion increase to the IDIQ contract’s potential value, bringing the program’s ceiling amount to approximately $48 billion.
RFI Questionnaire
DOD is asking interested stakeholders to answer several questions listed in the RFI questionnaire, including the vendor’s financial viability, ownership or access to laboratories, required certifications, recent capabilities and company profile.
Potential offerors can provide their input on technical focus areas that should be removed or added to the planned IAC MAC recompete contract and share ways to improve the solicitation for the follow-on procurement vehicle.
