The Defense Logistics Agency has asked industry for information on weapons systems and other commercial capabilities as the Pentagon works to meet Ukraine’s requests for security assistance amid Russian invasion.
The Department of Defense is looking at options to build up additional capacity and speed up the production of weapons systems and other equipment that could be immediately exported and fielded to Ukrainian troops with minimal training, according to a request for information published Thursday.
DLA wants information on capabilities related to air defense, coastal defense, anti-tank, counter-battery, anti-personnel, communications and unmanned aerial systems and details on production, training needed to operate the system and operating concepts or weapons employment.
Interested stakeholders should also provide information on munitions, including their range and guidance, types of targets and delivery platforms used.
