DLA Selects Three Companies for $580M in Storage Battery Supply IDIQs

The Defense Logistics Agency awarded three companies contracts worth potentially $580.5M combined to provide storage batteries to the U.S. Army, Navy and Marine Corps.

Each firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has two base years and three option years, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Work is slated to occur through April 2, 2021 in Missouri, Georgia and Italy.

Awardees and contract details are as follows:

EnerSys Energy Products will compete for up to $423.8M
Exide will compete for up to $133.5M
FIAMM Energy Technology will compete for up to $23.2M
