The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded Collins Elbit Vision Systems a $158.2 million modification on a contract for support services to a helmet display system built to help military fighter pilots cue sensors and weapons against aircraft and ground threats.
CEVS, a joint venture between Raytheon Technologies‘ (NYSE: RTX) Collins Aerospace business and Elbit Systems of America, will continue to support the Joint Helmet Mounting Cueing System currently operational on F-15, F-16 and F-18 jets, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The partnership originally received a $108.6 million contract in August 2017 to provide JHMCS reparable spares to the U.S. Air Force and the Navy as well as customers under DOD’s foreign military sales program.
DOD said the modification establishes a firm-fixed-pricing structure for three one-year option periods with an ordering end date of Aug. 30, 2023.
