The Defense Information Systems Agency has renewed its anti-virus software license agreement with McAfee to allow Department of Defense employees working at home to protect their personal computers from viruses, spyware and other cyber threats.
The renewed anti-virus home use program provides DoD employees a free one-year subscription to McAfee Internet Security software to protect their PCs from malicious threats as they search, surf and download files online, DISA said Monday.
DISA provided instructions for installing McAfee software, which is set to expire on March 22, 2021.
“Contractors are excluded from using the software at home or on any other system not belonging to the DoD,” DISA noted.
