SAP (NYSE:SAP) has appointed Diane Rinaldo, a former staff of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, as the company’s new director of U.S. government relations.
Rinaldo, who brings experience in cybersecurity and privacy policy from her work in the U.S. Congress, will be responsible for data protection and other data policy matters for the company, SAP said Friday.
Kevin Richards, SAP vice president and head of U.S. government relations, said the newly appointed director will aid the company’s efforts to address public policy through her knowledge of the legislative process and the cybersecurity sector.
As a staff member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Rinaldo oversaw the panel’s cybersecurity legislation in Congress.
She was also on the staff of former Sen. Olympia Snowe and served as deputy chief of staff and legislative director for former Rep. Mike Rogers.
