What Strategic Value Is DHS Targeting?

Beyond operational efficiency, DHS expects the Cumulus program to increase visibility into cloud spending and usage across its components.

According to the forecast, DHS aims to improve oversight of the cloud services it procures and their deployment. The department also expects economies of scale to drive pricing advantages and promote greater consistency in cloud delivery across DHS.

What Is the Timeline for the Cumulus Program?

DHS anticipates releasing a solicitation for the Cumulus requirement on Feb. 4, with contract awards expected in the second quarter of fiscal year 2026.
