The Defense Health Agency has issued a sources sought notice to identify small businesses that could submit proposals as part of its plan to conduct an on-ramp process for the potential 10-year, $10 billion OMNIBUS IV contract vehicle for military medical research and development support services.
According to the notice published Monday, responses to the market research are due April 10.
In May 2022, 56 vendors won positions on DHA’s multiple-award IDIQ contract.
OMNIBUS IV Contract Scope
DOD agencies can use the contract vehicle to place task orders across four market segments: medical R&D, regulatory processes, R&D support services and translational science support.
Program areas include medical simulation technologies, infectious diseases, joint battlefield healthcare, radiation health effects and clinical and rehabilitative medicine.
According to the notice, 40 OMNIBUS IV task orders with a total value of more than $400 million have been awarded to date.
Agency customers that have issued task orders under the vehicle include the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, the DHA Contracting Activity, Naval Supply Systems Command and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
