The Defense Health Agency has issued $1.4 billion in contract modification to 33 small businesses to extend ordering period of the Medical Q-Coded Services program for another year.
The action on the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract raised the total cumulative face value of the MQS strategic sourcing program to $8.9 billion, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
Beginning June 1, the contractors will continue to compete for task orders to provide DOD Military Treatment Facilities with personal or non-personal medical services in support of MTF clinical staff. Physician, nursing and ancillary services comprise the market segments under the MQS contract.
