Dell has secured a potential $231.2M blanket purchase agreement under the General Services Administration’s Federal Supply Schedule contract to provide VMware software licenses, software maintenance and related services for the Department of the Navy.
The service will use the products and services to meet information technology capabilities such as cloud management; data center and cloud infrastructure; networking and security; training; digital workspace; and application and desktop virtualization, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The Navy uses its buying authority to enter into enterprise agreements with IT vendors and resellers for commercial off-the-shelf IT offerings and services through the Enterprise Software Initiative.
Ordering period will run through March 7, 2023 and the service will use the BPA to purchase VMware products and services worldwide.
