Dell EMC Federal’s Cameron Chehreh: AI-Driven Insights Could Help Agencies Improve Service Quality

Cameron Chehreh, chief technology officer of Dell EMC™s federal business, has said government agencies should leverage artificial intelligence in order to generate insights from large amounts of data.

œBy uncovering deeper and more meaningful insights into data, AI supports agencies™ abilities to make decisions that improve the government™s efficiency and enhance services for citizens, partners and employees, Chehreh wrote.

He explained how AI helps the U.S. Air Force manage its aerial refueling operations and how the technology promotes œunbiased data analysis.

œUnlike humans, AI technology has no bias in how it applies decision criteria and link analysis. Therefore, the technology turns a fresh, impartial eye on datasets to reveal substantive insights into information that agencies can use to support mission execution, he noted.

Chehreh discussed how multicloud platforms, data lakes, DevOps and Agile processes enable agencies to streamline the integration of AI into their systems and cited the role of AI in driving government information technology modernization.

œAgencies must treat digital transformation as a national imperative and recognize that AI is a key component of that effort, he added.
