The move comes after the Missile Defense Agency awarded Lockheed a $2.8 billion recompete contract to develop the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, or THAAD, weapon system in January.
“This will be a pivotal year for our UTIAMD team, especially with our plans underway to evolve THAAD with advanced capabilities to protect America and our allies. We continue to demonstrate that we can consistently deliver reliable, combat-proven defense capabilities to defend what matters most,” the new UTIAMD VP wrote.
Golightly’s Career Highlights
Prior to her appointment, Golightly served as the defense company’s UTIAMD deputy and director for almost three years.
She has been with Lockheed for over 26 years. She has held several posts, including EVP technical assistant and director from 2020 to 2022, global supply chain director from 2017 to 2020 and senior subcontract program manager from 2015 to 2017.
