David Kim of Army INSCOM to Speak About Service Intelligence at GovCon Wire Forum

David Kim, director of support at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech on Wednesday at GovCon Wire’s virtual forum about military plans and priorities in the intelligence area.

Kim acts as the Headquarters Service Executive and oversees contracts for Army INSCOM, which is based at Fort Belvoir in Virginia and provides multisource intelligence and security support to the Army, combatant command and national intelligence agencies.

He will give one of the two keynote presentations during the “Military Service’s Intelligence: Plans and Priorities” forum. The other speaker is U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Jeffrey Trussler, deputy chief of naval operations for information warfare and director of naval intelligence.

In February, the Army held a ceremony to transition the Cyber Military Intelligence Group from Army Cyber Command to INSCOM and officials said the unit will perform tasks not carried out within the U.S. intelligence community. Lt. Gen. Stephen Fogarty, head of the Army Cyber Command, said the CMIG-INSCOM affiliation reflects the role of intelligence in data-driven service operations.
