David Duncan Promoted to Redpoint Cyber Operations VP

David Duncan, former technical director of Redpoint Cybersecurity, has transitioned to a new role as vice president of cyber operations at the information security company.

He will oversee Redpoint’s breach response group and the Redpoint Labs team that houses both the DevOps and threat mitigation teams specializing in penetration testing, active threat hunting and cyber threat intelligence, the company said Thursday.

Duncan previously served as a U.S. Army Reserve officer in charge of a cyber protection team focused on protecting U.S. critical infrastructure and key resources.

He also served as a cyber intelligence analyst at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and a cyber threat hunter at Global InfoTek.

New York-based Redpoint works with government and commercial clients to help them mitigate cyber threats and respond to security incidents.
