David Dacquino
David Dacquino, senior vice president of defense business at Serco Group‘s Americas division, has been promoted to chief executive in a move that takes effect in mid-2017.
The more than three-decade industry veteran will succeed Dan Allen, who announced in February his plans to retire after nearly four years as chairman and CEO of Serco Inc., the company said Friday.
“Dave has made an excellent job of transforming our defense business in the region over the last two years, and it now has a substantial pipeline of new bid opportunities,” said Rupert Soames, Serco Group chief executive.
Dacquino joined Serco after he served as president and CEO of aviation and logistics services company SkyLink.
He previously worked at technology integrator VT Group as CEO for North American operations and at Raytheon‘s (NYSE: RTN) technical services subsidiary as vice president for integrated support solutions.
Dacquino also held a 20-year career at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), where his most recent position was VP and general manager of logistics services business.
