DataPath has been awarded a potential $363 million contract to support various satellite communication terminals and controllers that the U.S. Army uses in the field, Space News reported Sunday.
Phillip Swarts writes DataPath will manage the deployment of approximately 200 field services support personnel to military sites globally under the Global Tactical Advanced Communication Systems contract.
“We™re providing the full range of support for basically every class of satcom terminal in the field, from a man-pack portable terminal to a vehicle mounted system to one that™s built into a trailer or a mobile command center, ” said DataPath president and CEO David Myers.
Myers added the company has supported the military branch over the past two decades.
The report said the GTACS contract will run for four and a half years and consolidates all previous agreements that were part of an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for Army satcom equipment support services.
DataPath designed its systems to integrate with the U.S. military’s Wideband Global Satcom system.
