Darren Conner
Darren Conner, a 33-year veteran of Dewberry, has been promoted to president of the Fairfax, Va.-based professional services contractor’s nationwide engineering practice.
He succeeds Dan Pleasant, who will continue his role as chief operating officer at Dewberry, and will oversee 50 offices that offer environmental, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, energy and transportation engineering services, Dewberry said Sept. 28.
Conner previously served as president of the firm’s southeast division and supervised 500 employees across 24 locations in that capacity.
The civil engineer also led Dewberry through its acquisition and integration of two Florida-based engineering companies with a combined additional workforce of nearly 250 personnel.
He is also a member of the Virginia State Board for Community Colleges.
