Cummins (NYSE: CMI) has received a $257.6 million contract to provide new commercial, remanufactured and remanufactured conversion engines for multiple U.S. Army military vehicles.
The Defense Departmentsaid Friday the firm-fixed-price contract is for the procurement of V903 Cummins series 600 and 675 horsepower diesel engines.
V903 engines have supported recreational, commercial and military vehicles for more than 50 years that include the Army Bradley Fighting Vehicle, commercial boats, mining equipment and farm tractors.
The 675 horsepower version of the engine will be integrated on the Bradley ECP 2 armored multi-purpose vehicle as well as the Paladin M109A7 howitzer systems this year.
The Army Contracting Command will determine funds and work locations upon issuance of individual task orders through June 30, 2023.
