NASA has awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract valued up to $121 million to Crown Consulting to support the aeronautics and exploration technology research and development efforts at the agency’s Ames Research Center in California.
The NASA Academic Mission Services 2 IDIQ covers a large scope of new and emerging capabilities and technologies R&D in air traffic management, nanoelectronics, aircraft and airspace safety and prototype software, the space agency said Friday.
The hybrid cost-plus-fixed-fee contract also supports the future transition of advanced aeronautics technologies into air vehicles.
Work on the NAMS-2 program will be performed from Oct. 1, 2024, through November 2029 if all options are exercised.
Crown Consulting offers systems and aircraft concept development, design and deployment services. The Arlington, Virginia-headquartered small business also works with the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Energy and state agencies.
The company is among the 14 contractors awarded a spot on DOE’s $900 million, follow-on contract for energy information administration support. The fifth iteration of the Energy Information Administration Omnibus Procurement vehicle was announced in March.
