The two-time Wash100 winner, added, “I’m honored to join [President and CEO Sanjay Poonen] and the talented team he has put together as we accelerate the company’s course to advance AI and machine learning capabilities critical to addressing key challenges to enterprise data.”
At the DOD, Martell was the inaugural leader of the DOD’s CDAO, which was established to advance digital and AI strategies and policies. He was then responsible for accelerating the adoption of data, analytics, digital services and AI.
Before his tenure at the DOD, he held several senior positions, including head of machine learning at Lyft, head of machine intelligence at Dropbox and head of AI teams and market-moving initiatives at LinkedIn.
