Comtech Telecommunications (Nasdaq: CMTL) has won a $125 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract renewal from the federal government to continue providing cyber training for joint military servicemen for five more years.
The Melville, New York-headquartered communications company said Monday it already received the first delivery order for its Joint Cyber Analysis Course training products under the single-award contract.
The initiation order is worth $1.4 million. In addition, the IDIQ has firm fixed price and time and materials delivery orders.
Fred Kornberg, chairman and CEO of Comtech, said federal cyber workforce development is one of the focus areas of the government.
He added that the renewal reflects the company’s experience in developing and delivering cybersecurity operations training needed by federal government customers.
The win follows the company’s purchase of Canadian satellite ground equipment provider UHP Networks.
