An RTX (NYSE: RTX) subsidiary has secured a $385.5 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security to help sustain aircraft avionics systems on U.S. Coast Guard aircraft.
Collins Aerospace will provide sustainment engineering and technical support services for the Coast Guard’s Aviation Logistics Center, according to a notice posted Tuesday on SAM.gov.
The contract will support rotary-wing aircraft, including the MH-65 and MH-60 helicopters, and fixed-wing aircraft such as the HC-130, HC-144 and HC-127 cargo planes.
Sustainment engineering work includes developing hardware and software modifications, investigating engineering problems and potential system improvements and carrying out logistics studies.
Work will occur at contractor and supplier facilities, the USCG ALC and other government agency facilities.
