Collins Aerospace, a unit of Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX), has booked a potential $140 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the U.S. Air Force to perform repairs on the propeller system of C-130 military transport planes.
The sole-source award includes $116.8 million in options and a firm-fixed-price pricing provision, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Specifically, Collins will fix the NP2000 eight-blade propeller and associated electronic control system.
The Air Force is obligating $13.8 million at the time of award from the branch’s fiscal 2021 procurement funds and expects the contractor to complete services on March 29, 2028.
