Codan said Tuesday it expects the acquisition to close by the end of April, subject to regulatory conditions in the U.S. and U.K.
DTC specializes in MIMO Mesh networks or next-generation software defined networks that wirelessly transmit video and data. The company also operates in the U.K. and Denmark and has approximately 140 employees focused on supplying wireless communications platforms to more than 20 U.S. government agencies, member countries of the Five Eyes intelligence alliance, military and special forces and first responders.
Codan CEO Donald McGurk said the transaction supports Codan’s strategic growth plan for the tactical communications business and expands the company’s offerings with the addition of video and data communication capabilities.
“This acquisition fills a technology gap and will be able to leverage Codan’s global distribution channels into the developing world,” McGurk added.
