Responsibilities of Part A/Part B Medicare Administrative Contractor
According to an award notice published Tuesday, Noridian will serve as a Part A/Part B Medicare Administrative Contractor to provide Medicare claims processing and payment services in support of the Medicare fee-for-service program for Jurisdiction F.
Jurisdiction F covers several states: Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
According to the draft statement of work, the contract’s functional requirements include workload implementation, contractor responsibilities during the closeout period and at contract end, infrastructure requirements, provider enrollment, appeals of Medicare initial claims determinations, medical review, and provider oversight.
Since 1966, Noridian has provided claims processing, medical review, provider management and other healthcare administration services for federal, state and health plan programs.
