Lou Von Thaer, president and CEO of Battelle and a 2023 Wash100 awardee, said in a statement published Tuesday Boynton brings to the nonprofit research and development organization his knowledge and experience in government contracting, profit and loss management and finance operations.
Boynton, who most recently served as CFO of Raytheon’s missiles and defense business, will be moving from the greater Boston area to central Ohio as a result of his appointment.
He joined Raytheon in 2003 and held roles of increasing responsibility, including VP of the defense contractor’s enterprise services organization and senior director of corporate financial planning and analysis.
