CGI‘s (NYSE: GIB) federal arm has won a potential 10-year, $222.9M contract to build an electronic procurement system for the Department of the Navy.
The Department of Defense said Wednesday CGI Federal will provide the ePS contract writing platform for the DON to manage contracting requirements for supplies, grants, services and construction projects.
The system will be built to process data and integrate with other electronic platforms at the U.S. Navy, DoD and other federal agencies.
Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command received six offers for the contract via an online-based solicitation and will obligate $7.9M in fiscal 2018 and fiscal 2019 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
The Pentagon expects CGI Federal to complete work in March 2029.
